ROFLMAO

OMG...check this out you guys this is just fucking ridiculous!!!

Here is the original link: http://boston.craigslist.org/abo/34351227.html

Here is the article:

I have copied below an outrageous advertisement for a DNC rental. Please e-mail this Bozo at: anon-33783766@craigslist.org. Do not reply to my posting, because the "landlord" won't get your comments.

Here's the ad:
"Price is Twenty-Five Thousand Dollars for the entire duration of the DNC, payable in full in advance. In addition, must post another twenty-five thousand dollars security deposit, which is refundable at the discretion of the landlord. No Fee. You get 2 bedrooms; up to 30 people okay; bring your own sleeping bags, towels and toilet tissue. One bath. One parking space available for an extra two hundred dollars per day. Must see to appreciate."

Here's my response:

I am very interested in the apartment. Some people might be deterred by the $25,000 price, but I have no doubt the apartment is worth every penny. The fact that your apartment is 10 times higher in price than similar listings suggests to me that your place is that much nicer too. Since your place is walking distance to the Fleet Center, I'm guessing I'll save a lot of money in cab fare too. I'm guessing a cab ride in Boston must cost at least $1000 for a 5 minute ride. Since I may rent a car, I am also interested in the $200 per day parking. I know there are nearby lots that rent a space for $200 a month, and I think the maximum allowable parking rate in Boston is $30 per day, but your parking sounds far more convenient and prestigious. Have you considered renting your car for the week. I'd happily consider paying $2,000 per day for the use of your car.

I was very impressed that the two bedroom apartment can accommodate 30 people. Do any of the people have to be stacked up, or hung from hooks on the wall? I would be very impressed if all 30 people can have enough floor space for a sleeping bag. Talk about 5 star accommodations! It's smart that you request that the renter bring his own toilet paper. Thirty people can generate a lot of crap, especially during a democratic convention.

I almost think you are charging too little. I would consider paying much more for such a fine apartment, with a matching security deposit of course. Since it's discretionary whether you return the security deposit, let's just agree that you will keep it as your tip.

I look forward to learning more about your fine apartment!

Actually people get this and it is common practice. Last time the Olympics were in Atlanta a friend of the family rented his house out for $20K for the month and people were calling him all week about it. He rented it out to one of the teams.

No, but they all must be very sexually active and compatible and must pass an STD test, and need to know the difference between Democratic sex and Republican sex.
