Day 1...kind of

So today started pretty interesting, I had dinner with my mom, dad, and my oldest aunt at IHOP of course…my mom has some serious love affair with that restaurant. Afterwards I left to go meet up with Joe, but changed my mind to see David for a bit instead and decided I would see Joe later. On the way to Seattle, I stopped by the cemetery in Renton to visit my friend Anthony J Ackerson’s grave…now normally, I visit him when I am feeling troubled or unsettled…so today was no different. I went to his grave and sat in my usual spot and began talking…just about everything that has been going on and what I have been up to. Finally, it was starting to get so cold I couldn’t stay anymore, so I bid him farewell and returned to the car. Now, normally when I walk away from his grave I feel some sort of peace or relief. However, today was different, I walked away tired, concerned, and honestly more confused then when I arrived. It was very disheartening as I normally I feel differently.

So after that I went and met up with David…we went to 2 different libraries so I could get some kind of internet access, but to no avail. One library didn’t have access for some reason and the other library was closed. We ended up back at Cedar’s (Indian restaurant) and ordered appetizers and naan. That was pretty much my dinner…then I left to meet up with Joe. That meeting was actually pretty interesting, he had a date or something at around 8pm so we didn’t hang out too long. We went to B&N so that I could hit up the wifi at Starbucks…afterwards I went to McCabe’s and I had so much fun!

I saw people that I used to go to Dakota’s (Country line dance club) with, as they all go to McCabe’s (country line dance bar) now that we are all of age. :-) I ended up recalling some of the line dances, as the ones in Boston are different from the ones in Seattle (e.g. Boot Scootin’ Boogie in WA is a 4 wall dance and in MA it is a 2 wall dance). They play a lot of couple dances, but fortunately, those were easily transferable to line dances. Though, I did end up dancing the 2 step a few times and the Cowboy cha cha a few times as well. I wasn’t familiar with the 2 step (which probably sounds weird) I am very familiar with the cha cha…so I had a ton of fun doing those as well. Anyhow, it is really late here (02:33) so time to sign out!
