I am really not much of a political person, but I find the primaries interesting. I follow as best I can on what the candidates believe in (thank god for the Internet). In terms of voting on "Super Tuesday" I did not...to be honest, I don't believe I'm even registered to vote in my county!

If all goes well I will be registered to vote in Middlesex County before this year's presidential election! Being the complete dork that I am, I wanted to see historically, what the split is for Democrat versus Republican...it is 19 to 23, respectively. ...This means nothing of course, but it is interesting that out of the 55 times we've had a president that Republican is a bit higher on the list.

Wow...maybe this was not even worth posting :-p because...I'm just going to move onto another topic now.

David and I have been looking to purchase a place (preferably in Watertown or Waltham) and we've been looking at wedding places. Whoever thinks that planning is fun is out of their mind. So far we've been all over Watertown. There are a few places that we've liked Repton Place and one other place in Watertown. I want to see Wellington Crossing in Waltham soon...

As for wedding locales...*sigh* we've seen: Harding Allen Estate, Oceancliff Hotel, Harrington Farm, Lake View Pavilion, Independence Harbor, Tupper Manor, Linden Place, Blithewold Mansion, Bradley Estate, Glen Magna Farms, The Chanler at Cliffwalk, White Cliffs Function Facility, and The Commons...

Ugh...and we haven't been overly thrilled with any of them. My mom suggested I focus more money on the purchase of our new home...I told her I only get married once, in my lifetime I will purchase many homes. :-( I want it to be special...and I want to really like the place and not regret it later.

So this weekend we will be checking out the State Room and Hampshire House...originally I wanted to get married in a mansion...now...I just want it to be nice. :-) And I figure if we have at the State Room or Hampshire House we can have our outdoor photos done in the Boston Common.

Anyhow...I really need to get back to work, so much to do!

It's definitely possible to have an amazing wedding with beautiful decor and lots of everything for REALLY cheap!! we spent a total of just over $8000 on our wedding...but we did alot of stuff ourselves to save money...I also borrowed stuff such as my tiara and veil from my sister in law, made our own invites and table decorations along with wedding ceremony decorations....find out what is important to you at your wedding...focus spending money on that stuff and then be willing to let some of the other stuff go...I can promise you that people don't notice the stuff at the wedding that we thought they would! :) *HUGS*

hehe, thanks. We are going to do quite a few things ourselves so that should help :-)

Just bounced over from the wedding planning community, and couldn't resist making a suggestion: Have you looked into the Lyman Estate? It's in Waltham right next to Bentley.
