I'm baaaaaccccckkkkk

Well here I am, writing this on the plane! :) As I said earlier there is so much to talk about I don’t know where to start!...Let’s start with Tuesday...

This day totally DID NOT go as planned! Here was my plan:
9:00-9:30Wake up/Get Ready
9:45-10:30Get nails done
11:00-11:45Meet Michele for coffee
12:00-12:20Burn CD’s at Joe’s house
12:30-2:30Meet Laura at school to work on UI
2:30-3:30Group meeting
3:30-7:00Drive to Portland to hotel
8:15-8:45Get ready for clubbing!
9:30-?Banana Joe’s!!!

Nope...that is totally not what happened, here IS what happened...
9:00-9:20Getting ready, but while I was showering Nike called and confirmed my hotel reservations
9:45-9:50Mom asks me to deposit money
9:55-10:00I wait in line at the bank, but it was taking too long (I was in the Merchant line) so I leave to get my nails done
10:30-11:15Get nails done and called Michele to let her know I’ll call her when I was at the mall
12:00-12:40Met Michele at Starbucks and called Laura to let her know I would be late to the meeting
1:30-2:30Meet Laura
2:30-3:30Meet Group
3:50-4:10Stopped at bank to deposit my mom’s money
4:20-4:50Burned 3 CD’s at Joe’s
5:00-6:10Started the drive to Portland, but then I thought I should get together with my brother because he wanted to get together with me on my way to Portland or on my way back from Portland. However...since my interview ended at 5PM it was logical to eat before versus after...
6:20-8:00Dinner with my brother
8:00-8:45My brother showed me where he is going to get married
9:00-11:30Drive to Portland
11:45-12:00Drive to find Nike
12:10-1:30Ironed shirt and got ready for interview

Yeah...totally not how I planned it!!! Oh well...

6:30-7:00Took a shower
7:00-7:30Got dressed
7:30-8:00Checked out of the hotel. Oh yeah, I stayed at the Homestead Suites, it was awesome!!! It had a kitchen :) AND cookware and utensils. Drove to Nike...I got lost trying to find the building...lol...the directions (the directions I got from the HR person) said at the 3rd stop sign make a left, so I kept going straight. Well eventually it turned into a sidewalk...uh-oh...lol...to my left were 2 soccer fields, and to my left was the Mia Han building, in front of me was the Lance Armstrong (one of the two beautiful gyms), behind me was the Tiger Wood’s conference center. :) I’m good! Lol...now, I was looking for the Michael Schmidt building, I rolled my window down and asked 2 people I saw coming towards me, apologized, explained I was lost and they were so nice! The guy offered to get in my car and show me! :) Awww...how sweet, my car was too messy though (my bike was in the trunk), tons of paper and luggage and my car is little...only enough room for me! Anyway I thanked him but told him that directions would be fine. He gave me excellent directions and then I found the building!
8:10-8:45I had coffee (when I say, “I had coffee” I mean a coffee alternative like tea or water, I hate coffee) with the HR person
9:00-10:00I had all my interviews in the same conference room in the Michael Jordan building, my first interview was with the Director of Legacy Supply Chain. I think it went well, he was sort of difficult to read though.
10:00-11:00My next interview was with the Director of Human Resources within IT. She was reeeeaaaaaallllyyyyy nice :)!!! I think it went well, so we connected :)
11:00-12:00The next person I interviewed with was the Director of Human Resources Global IT and he had an interesting style of interviewing. He just walked in and said, “Ok, ask me questions” and I thought, “who the hell is getting interviewed here, you or me??” lol...this interview went ok too...
12:00-12:30I had lunch with the HR person who I had coffee with in the morning and we discussed how my day was going
2:00-3:00Almost done...lol...the next interview was with the Director of Tech Shared Services. He was really nice, he had been CIO and a couple of different companies. The one thing I did notice about the people at Nike is they were all very successful in what they did. This also went well, he had only been there for 2 years, so it was interesting. The other people had been there longer, like 18-20 some odd years. So there opinion was more in set with Nike where this man had more experience out of the Nike corporate arena.
3:00-4:00I took this time to drive around Nike and explore, the campus really is incredible
4:00-5:00Last interview!!! YES!!! Lol...this was with the Director of IT Business Ops, she was really nice. Lol...she said I was the best part of her day, apparently she had been in meetings all day and she was totally just chilling in the meeting we had. She asked me a few questions and then we kind of just chatted.
5:15-6:30Went to the Nike Employee Store, it was soooo awesome because everything was half off, on top of that...NO TAX!!!! OH YEAH!!!! So I bought a jogging outfit and pair of jogging shoes! :)
6:40-9:00Drove back home

By the time I got home I was just so damn exhausted...but I went jogging and went to the gym...man I was tired...then...

I had planned to wake up early so I could call Boston and I was so damn exhausted that I slept through 3 different alarms. I know, that is horrible...
<tr><td>9:00-9:10</td><td>Called Boston and was informed my flight left at 1:45...LOL...grrrrrreeeeeaaaaaatttt ;)</td></tr>
<tr><td>9:10-9:30</td><td>Took a shower and got ready</td></tr>
<tr><td>10:00-11:15</td><td>Coded UI</td></tr>
<tr><td>11:30-11:45</td><td>Stopped by Nordstrom and bought a pair of dress shoes because I totally forgot my shoes at home, because I was in such a rush</td></tr>
<tr><td>12:45</td><td>Got to the Airport and waited at the gate! :) I was soooo excited!</td></tr>
<tr><td>9:30(EST)</td><td>Landed in Boston</td></tr></table>

You know...my brother told me that people on the East Coast are really rude, but I didn’t find that to be true. For instance I met someone on the plane and she was really nice. She actually helped me get to my hotel. She told me that she was taking a shuttle and we ended up riding the same shuttle. So I was dropped off at the Sheraton and I thanked her. I met people wherever I went in Boston it was pretty incredible. The funny part was that I never got anyone’s names... :)

So by the time I got to the hotel it was 10:30ish. I had a really hard time going to sleep so I didn’t fall asleep until 2:00AM EST. :p Oh well...so I got 4.5 hours of sleep.

OH GOD this day just didn’t start out well...
6:30-7:00 Ordered room service :P
7:00-7:30Ate breakfast
7:30-8:00Took a shower and got ready for the job interview
8:00-8:15Filled out some information that they gave me
8:20Arrived at the Prudential Tower, and they said they needed my ID, which I didn’t bring with me because my suit had no pockets
8:20-8:25Went back to the hotel room and grabbed my ID card
8:25Gave the cute security guard my id card ;)

Anyway, they didn’t have my name on the computer list to go upstairs. So I had to call Gillette and have my name added to the list. However, the first time I called no one answered...so I called again and told the lady what I was there for, she said that she would add me to the list. Well by the time she added me it was 8:45. *sigh* by the time I got upstairs it was 8:50, by the time someone got me it was 8:55...so basically...I was 30 minutes late to my job interview, but...the HR person took full blame for it, thank God!!! ;) So anyway...just to round this up because I am starting to get tired...
9:00-9:30I met with a Manager of Knowledge Management & Web Deployment and it was fun, she was originally from Spokane
9:30-10:30I met with the Manager of Business Applications Landscape. The conversation was very interesting, I was amazed at his condor, but at the same time I found it quite admirable... :)
10:30-11:30Next I met with an Application Management group leader. This was definitely a more structured interview...and it was fun, she was very nice! :)
11:30-12:30This was actually a phone interview because the lady was from the South end of Boston and she didn’t have time to come and meet me in person. She is the Senior HR Advisor for IT. :) This interview went really well I think. It was interesting my interview with Gillette didn’t feel very formal it felt more like a getting to know you thing.
12:30-2:00Lunch with the Manager of IT education, Practice and Communication. It was lunch and an interview. :)
2:00-3:30This was a follow-up thing with the HR person who gave me the phone interview. This was more of a, “What does it take for you to choose us” type thing. So that sounds hopeful! :) They just kind of wanted to know if I got both offers what in the end would sway me...argh...I don’t know what to do!!!
3:45-4:00Checked e-mail
4:30-6:00Walked around Harvard Square. It was soooo awesome! I met some really interesting people. That was the funny part, everywhere I went I met people. I met Joshua Hunter and Theodore Covington III lol...I called Theodore, Trey (For the III). These two were damn cool! Why? Because they offered to take me out for a night on the town...
6:15-7:30Walked around Little Italy...that was really fun!!!
8:00-11:30Was picked up by Josh and Trey and went to a Jazz Piano Bar it was soooo awesome!!!

That was pretty much my thing...I found Boston to be absolutely fascinating...totally off topic...but Josh Hartnett is HOT

Oh...and everywhere I went in Boston I met someone!!! Not that I knew, but just very interesting people I would start talking to. Hmm...I will have to talk about it tomorrow because it is starting to get late and I am starting to get tired. But, I met 2 guys yesterday and I took 1 guy home yesterday...I will mention that in my next entry.
