I had an epihany of sorts about the Commander-in-Chief: He's like the friend you hang around with cause you feel bad for him then he starts picking fights with everyone in the bar and you become hated cause you came there with him. Hmmmm?

Re: Dubya
haha...I like that epiphany...I had someone tell me that he references Americans as being: "self-absorbed.. unaware of the outside world"

haha...then I was like, "Hey now!" and he said, "Hey...it's your president's fault"

Rob...he's making us look bad! ;)

Re: Dubya
Nat, there is some truth in this that American are self absorbed and unaware of the outside world, but I lay the blame on two institutions: the media and the American education system. The media, especially the news papers only print the stories that are slanted towards the American view, not propaganda but used to not make the country look bad or its leaders. The education system cause the teachers are too busy teaching standardizing tests kids don't get a chance to really delve into other cultures not only in History classes but others as well. As for it being Dubya's fault there is also some truth to this as well, guilt by association and I hate it, REALLY REALLY hate it. I believe I'm someone that understands that America isn't an island admidst a barbaric ocean, that we need to get along with other cultures, leaders and thier people if we want to get through this technological adolescents and move toward the future. I know this is long winded but you said you wanted to get into politics and I can help by showing ya some webpages to go to and books to read. Hope your turkey day was good. Be good. Rob
