The good news is...(drum roll please) I have been pre-approved for $190,000 to buy my condo!!! *BOUNCE BOUNCE BOUNCE* YES YES YES!!! This is fabulous! I'm not even looking above $175,000 I am SURE to find something! :D I am going to start looking immediately! Wheeeeeeeeee

Ok...bad news? My cousin has Bacterial Meningitis. She is currently in the hospital having her brain operated on.

LOL...oh that...I started looking for condos and I decided to e-mail one of the RE Agents and he referred me to a Mortgage broker. The broker sent me a pre-approval document to fill out, I mailed it back and then about 30-45 minutes later he got back to me and let me know! :) Exciting isn't it???

LOL...you are funny. The questions were this:
  • Name
  • SSN
  • Age
  • Current Street Address
  • City/State/Zip
  • Rent or Own
  • No. of Years
  • Current Monthly Payment
  • Home phone
  • Ages of Children
  • Are you Self-Employed
  • Current Employer
  • Job Title
  • Work Phone
  • Total Annual Salary
  • How long at position
  • Sales Associate who referred you (this is the RE Agent)
  • Co Borrower (If you choose to have one if I wasn't able to do this on my own it would have been my dad and the co-borrower would fill out all the same info that you just did)
  • Institution Name and Balance (I did 5 of these for my Personal Checking, Bill Checking, Savings, IRA, and 401K)

Then you answer yes or no questions:
  • Have you had property foreclosed upon or given title or deed in lieu therefore in the last 7 years?
  • Are you presently delinquent or in default on any Federal debt or any other loan, mortgage, financial obligations, bond, or loan guarantee?
  • Are you a U.S. citizen?
  • Do you intend to occupy the property as your primary residence?
  • Have you had ownership interest in a property in the last 3 years?
  • Are you obligated to pay alimony, child support or separate maintenance?

Then you sign it and date it...
That's it! :)

ooh, hope she's ok.

I hope she's ok too...she had a surgery on her head...I guess it created swelling so the doctor's had to go and relieve the pressure...

Sorry to hear about your cousin... : ( Which cousin is it?

Funny you should mention that, though. I went back to the doctor's yesterday and my mom was like "Well, could it be meningitis?" to the doc. He told her, "If it was meningitis, you wouldn't have waited five days to come see me. If you didn't see me within the first 24 hours, well, then that's it." : \

How comforting. At least I'm still alive, but no better off...like my last comment stated, I'll tell you why in a bit, if you're around near a phone when I give you a quick (I stress the word quick, my ears are sensitive and the phone really hurts them) call.

It's my cousin in Atlanta...*sigh* I meant to tell you that last night.

Sorry to hear
Hope that your cousin gets better, my best. Dr. Chase seems to be alive and well, told ya nothing to worry about. But, again hope she gets well.

The condo loan pre-approval: Yessssssss! Always glad to share your joy!

Your cousin: True friends are willing to share sadness as well as joy. I am sorry about your cousin. Did you get a chance to see her at Thanksgiving?
Jan. 9th, 2004 08:00 am (UTC)
I did see her at Thankgsgiving. We aren't very close, but now that she isn't so obnoxious it would be nice to build a stronger relationship with her.

Isn't the pre-approval thing cool???? I AM SO EXCITED!
Jan. 9th, 2004 10:35 am (UTC)
Are you finding places for $175 in the city??? Where???
Jan. 9th, 2004 10:59 am (UTC)
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Now if I tell you...won't you try to buy them??? You will be competition!

;) And not for $175...but for $175,000...lol...and I am looking in Allston, Brighton, Brookline, and Fenway. :)
Jan. 9th, 2004 11:04 am (UTC)
heh, $175k is what I meant.

I've been looking for something in brookline and surrounding as well. You'll have way more luck in Allston/Brighton than in Brookline/Fenway.

I'm picky though. I want a deeded parking space, 2 bedrooms or 1 bed with 900+ SF, and in-unit washer/dryer.
Jan. 9th, 2004 11:46 am (UTC)
ROFLMAO...yeah...that would be nice...but I could only find those outside of Boston...closer to Western MA...a deeded parking space would definitely be a plus!

However, I have finally conformed to the Bostonian way of life *sigh* besides, this is only my first condo :) I am not too concerned. My next one will be a little better, my third one will be fabulous!
