Digital Cameras

Yeah...I'm a freaking posting whore today...

Any advice?

...I like the following:

Canon PowerShot SD600 6MP Digital Elph Camera with 3x Optical Zoom

I really like this one...though it is on the pricier side...
Canon Powershot S2 IS 5MP Digital Camera with 12x Optical Image Stabilized Zoom

I am open to other suggestions though...I want a camera that takes good quality pictures and takes pictures of moving objects well...I don't want things to be blurry if I'm moving, or if the object is moving. I love taking pictures...I just want to make sure the camera I purchase is really versatile to all situations

If there is a slim little camera that does what all the big DSLRs do, then I'd be all over it. But manufacturers know, little cameras are made because the people who want them tend to be people who don't know a lot about cameras.

I'd check some sort of digital camera review / CNET. I have no experience with fast motion photography except to make really blurry pictures =) I know my friend loves his Panasonic Lumix cameras, I know a lot of people really like their lineup as well.

But even "high end" compacts top out at $500, maybe $600 and tell it to take something with a really high shutter speed and the reaction time between pressing the button and taking the picture .... it all just doesn't work in my experience. I do wish that there was a compact that had high end features like fast reaction time, the ability to do really high or low speed shutter, good macro features, etc. etc.etc. I'm not a commercial / artisitic photographer but I'd still want these features for when I go on vacation =)

I do wonder about the Prosumer line like the SI2 and Fuji or Panasonic's mid line Lumix of DSLR look alikes (without the actual SLR feature) and how they stack up to the A series from Canon (which I have had good sucess with as well)

I'm thinking cameas like the ELPH and the Casio ExSlim and those, those you can't ask a lot out of because it's all about form factor and high megapixels minus actual real features.
